Interest schedule of the Western Railroad sinking fund, 1855-1868.

Pursuant to St 1839, c 50, the state treasurer and the treasurer of the Western Railroad Corporation were given responsibility, as commissioners of a sinking fund, for the care and management of the finances and monies raised to pay for the construction of the railroad. As part of this duty, the commissioners invested assets and loaned money on interest. Schedule of interest was created as an account of payments due on interest from promisors on scrip, bonds, and other loans and on interest and dividends on stock.
